How to live life

I am reading a book by Donald Miller and he brings up a way to look at how your life should be lived. I thought I would share it, if that's OK?

He states that you should look at your life as a movie. Does it have a good story?

If you're living only to purchase your dream BMW, would that story make a good movie? No. If you're dedicating your life to others, and living to bring good into the world, would that make a good story? It would be much better then a story about you and your dream car.

Live your life in a way that motivates others or brings happy endings. That makes a good story. Impact others, and help then achieve their dreams. Work hard, and inspire others to achieve their dreams.

I am just naturally this way, but I hate the spot light so much it keeps me from doing things on a large scale. I don't even like mass praise around the office. Low key is the way I ride, but I love helping people.
