Thanks for all the encouraging words of wisdom. Very helpful to help me get back on track in the right direction. Hopefully on Sunday, I can go to the place that has the power rack so I can workout in my basement.

I did come up with a diet plan to help me instead of eating junk food. Also going to start a new notebook when I get a power rack hopefully!

EDIT: just got done with a quick workout at the gym, and feeling good.

Deadlift
135x5
185x2x5

Overhead Press
95x3x5

Chin up Hold
3x 20 seconds

Dips
2x10

Now I think I am going to do some planks and oblique exercises

Good going, JB. Sometimes just sticking your toe in the water is all it takes.

I'm envious of the chinup holds. I couldn't do that to save my life. I tried doing chins in between bench sets tonight. Fuggetaboutit! Couldn't eke out 1.

Keep it up. You aren't a couch potato anymore.

I've thought about trying slow (10 second) negatives until I can do a couple sets of 10. Then launching into regular chin work. My other option is doing machine assisted chins, but every time I do those, I'm afraid of getting a run in my stocking. Quite honestly, I have to use so much offset weight to manage more than a few reps that it just isn't worth it in my book.

Just want to echo what has already been said. it happens and we kinda get over that hump that is holding us back and move forward big time. Like everyone has said goals are a huge thing and do small goals along with big goals. Do something you know you can get to.
I love chin work,( pull ups, chin ups, dips) something about moving your body through space is such a workout. I remember when I could barely crank out 5 pull ups now i'm doing 5 sets of 6.

Like BTB always tells me, "just hit it hard." Keep up the good work
