Sorry if I missed this, but have you ever competed in powerlifting?

BTB, if this is directed to me.

I never competed in Bodybuilding or Powerlifting. I have to admit that I am considering doing a powerlifting meet in 2011. Of course that depends on how well my back and hips hold up and if my strength gains continue at the current rate.

The 3 of them move from exercise to exercise as a unit. When they do an exercise, like cable curls, each one takes a turn, the other 2 watch. Before they start the exercise they talk about it and then stroll to the next one. They are in the gym 2 hours.

I do 531. I do the main lift 531, then strip some weight and do it again 5x10, I follow that up with one or two axillary exercises. I take short rest periods and don't talk to anyone, finish and leave the gym.

Makes me wonder who is actually working out longer. Divide the 2 hours by 3 and that is 40 minutes and their rest periods could be even longer since they talk to each other a lot.

Their way is good, they enjoy it and they are in the gym getting some exercise. My way is good because I enjoy it, it meets my goals.

At 65, I do not have huge goals or expectations, I just look to keep getting better.
I hear ya, I like getting in get it done and getting out. Gab at home, in the gym it is work time.
