For first time users I would base the first weight with no more 50% of ones one rep max, and the second weight with 25% of ones rep max, as a guide line, but honestly numbers and % isn't as important as knowing what your body can handle, my prediction PAIN.

Have a gallon of water, some gatorade, bananas and a puke bucket on hand. Caution, it is best to have a spotter present and be careful once your ears start ringing take a break and regroup.

this is very similar to what my leg day looks like as set by my trainer already and the first day i did it was as tony promised. and no i couldn't walk well for about a week.
