Most of my equipment had long since went to places unknown, but I did still have the barbell set I bought in 1989. It wasn't much but it was 110lbs of weight, and I hadn't lifted in 8 years. The bar was leaning in the corner of the garage, and the weights were under the shelves. Dragged everything out and stuck some weight on the bar, and looked at thought for a few minutes. Then I went back in the house and got on the internet, and got some info together. I came up with a program that hit as much as possible without a bench, and stands for squats. Squats Load up the bar with a weight that you can clean, and get on your back. Now squat that weight for all your worth. When you get tired don't put the weight down. Rest in place if you can, and then do another set of all you can. Now put the weight down. Repeat at least twice. Your pretty tired at this point from cleaning the weight, but your legs are not done. Pick the weight back up, and front squat it. Reduce the weight if needed. Repeat twice Rows 3x8 bent rows Presses Clean the weight, and perform presses for a 3x8 deads 3x5 Arms BB curls 3x8 French curl 3x8 I did this routine for two months back in 2007 from March through May. It was a good starting routine to get back to working with the weights. Not really bloody, but easy to do with minimal equipment. |
