I love my Man Maker routine! But I don't want to just recycle information. Want a brutal routine try The Big 3 circut. You are going to need 3 things do complete this training cycle:
1.Space-to do all 3 lifts 2.Brawn-to do all 3 lifts 3.Balls-to do all 3 lifts You start off with the Squat, then hobble over to the Bench Press, and crawl to a loaded bar and Deadlift, all in one set, realistically I will give you just under a minute to get to each lift. You will do only singles of each one after another. You will add 50 overall pounds to the squat/deadlift and 20-50, and then taper down 50lbs to the bench press each time you do a set until that becomes to much. You will do as many sets as humanly possible, and start off light each time so that you may warm up properly. Once you get to a heavy number around 70% of your normal 1 rep max stop at that weight and keep it for the other sets until you can't do anymore. Sample split goes as follows Squat 225+50=275+50=325+50+375+50=425+20=445*(max weight for cycle) Bench 135+50=185+50=235+20=255=+10=265*(max weight for cycle) Deadlift 225+50=275+50=325+50+375+50=425+50=475+50=525+5=53 0*(end cycle) |

I have a couple from my days of college football:
Squat burnouts (similar to a rest pause): Load the bar with 2 plates (135lb.), then keep adding 25lb. plates until you reach your 10 rep max (calculated from previous training sessions). Perform 10 reps with your total weight and peel off a 25lb. plate from each side. Do another 10 reps. Peel off another plate. Continue that until you're down to the original 135lb. and then rep that out until failure. BTW, failure means when the spotter catches you or the bar smashes the safety pins. If you were a huge badass, you actually had to start with 225 on the bar and rep out at 225 AND 135. I have never seen so many 6'4, 300+ lb. lineman screaming with only 135lb. on their backs. The only time I have ever seen more people puke than that workout above was running this 4 times in 45 min.: For perspective: ![]() About: The students moved and cemented 400 tons of light-colored limestone to create the letter. The "M" is 241 feet high, 214 feet wide, and the legs are 25 feet across. Location: The "M" is on the side of Platte Mound, which, at 1,440 feet, is one of the highest "peaks" in Wisconsin. Platte Mound is located on Broadway Street (County Trunk B) about 4 miles east of Platteville. So, the "M" is about 241 ft. high. Cool. Too bad the steps that we had to run started at the bottom of the hill (below the measurement line) and ended at the top of the hill (above the measurement line). Fuck. Me. |
