Know the federation rules...some federation give start commands, other don't...

Learn what is a start Vs a soft start

Choose your numbers wisely...(85/95-96/102%) or sometyhing like that

Choose weigth class, diet accordingly, plan for cut if need it, have extra equipment (belts, socks, underwear, wraps, etc, and extra toilet paper...

take with you a lot of protein bar, bananas, and drinks…(small cooler will work)

don’t forget your camera, batteries and charger

have fun!!!

First meet? Go 9/9 to build up confidence for future meets.

As stated above, know the federation's rules. Flat foot benching? Start command? How low do they REALLY want your squat to be? Even if it's the crease of the hip below the top of the knee joint, you may have to go a bit lower depending on the fed/judges.
