Why do I take on too much?
 

Why am I always the person that does not know how to say no? Will you work over this weekend? Me: yes even though I want to say no.
Will you donate to this or that and invest your time? Me: Yes I will find the time but really do not have it.
Will you do this or that to help a neighbor? Me: Yes I do because I am a good neighbor even though I dont have the time.
I hate to complain but a goal of mine should have been to learn how to say no this year. So far I have not been doing that good of a job and have not really had any time for myself.

You have to learn to say NO, it's a good thing as long as you don't end up always saying "no"; next time someone asks you, as long as it's not an important thing, just say "no".

learn to say no if i dont want to do something i dont do it.

I took on so much food these holidays, I just couldn't say no.

I would try and temper your always saying yes, but also embrace it. It is who you are.

My wife is like you, she volunteers for everything and is always busy and stressed. However, she also hates sitting still and loves to be social so in a lot of ways her life is way more interesting and social than mine is.

I always say no and while I am well rested, I also miss out on a lot. My wife is always under the gun, but has more friends and rarely misses out on anything.

The grass isn't always greener on the other side of the fence.

I too havnt learned how to make time for myself. I have nearly gone bankrupt doing favors,there is a balance. Going extreme either way isn't right.

But I do wait for the day I cash in all those favors...

Will you send me some money?

I'll send you my kids for awhile, they have helped me become a pro at saying no.
