Sound system
 

Anyone have an idea what sort of sound system would be good for a computer? Hubby's is starting to act up and I want to surprise him with a new one for xmas. He has a home computer that he uses all the time. Thanks.

I guess there's lots of different size/loudness range. Probably look at BestBuy or RadioShack. I think desktops have auxilliary sound jacks,they might even work through usb I don't know.

Bose speakers w/subwoofer. I have them and they are simply the best.

If you have the money, I can vouch for Bose Companion Speakers. I worked at Bose back in 2007, and I was initially skeptical of their products, but after seeing firsthand, the dedication the employees have I absolutly belived them to be a quality product, high quality and more. I currently have a Bose center channel in my home theater, and a pair of the older version of the QC headphones. The QCs are amazing, nothing like them.

Make sure it's the speakers and not the audio driver, etc.
