Having a cookie exchange with my sisters this weekend and I made my bars and cookies today. And two of my recipes did not turn out:( I have never made them before and now have to come up with something else. Maybe I should just stick to traditional?

Yeah, I did that once, it was really annoying, tried this recipe which looked great, sounded like it would have tasted great as well, due to the almonds, came out less than great, visibily and since it was for a competition that didn't help...so, it was back to the drawing board.

I always do a tester batch for new baking recipes :)

Sorry Susie. I have failed at a few recipes as well. They look so good and sound easy enough but when you actually make them they do not turn out at all.
