Do you belive in ghosts?

In light of halloween, i wanted to bring this up for debate/discussion. It was inspired after i read and watched this.

I believe that the right combination of light and sound can fool a fatigued or unprepared mind.

We are wired to process shapes and sounds and fit them into paradigms we understand. Sometimes a cloud is just a cloud, not a god. No matter how much it looks like a god.

I guess that I am the odd man out. I have to say that I do believe in ghosts.

Yes, I absolutely do. Used to work security and had the displeasure of working in a couple of places that I and others were absolutely convinced were haunted, voices, doors that were closed one rounds, open the next, cold spots etc..

Haven't yet seen a "ghost" to my knowledge anyway; so, can't say one way or the other. I have seen other stuff, so there's definitely stuff out there we have no clue about, that's why it's termed supernatural (above-natural occurrence) which doesn't mean it's "spooky" stuff just that it's not stuff that everybody may see or be aware of on a natural level, as we term natural, at least.

The bit I really can't stand, is people deciding on my or anyone else's behalf that what I've seen is not what I saw. I understand scepticism, I'm sceptic of people that claim to or say they have seen something...we're wired that way, to question, and so we should with all the charlatans out there.

But, I have nothing to gain by convincing any one of you or anyone else of what I saw...so, I have nothing to lose, so to speak...and don't particularly care much what anyone thinks...not that I go around talking about it to find out what people think, to start with.
