Hell yes he does. When I first heard it, i thought he was making a tactless comment on how our soldiers aren't dying in combat as frequently and how good a job our military has done to get better control of the situation, but no. Ted needs a punch in the mouth. By every member of our military.

My opinion of suicides in the military:

If you REALLY support the troops, and want to end military suicides, you should be demanding that they be brought home NOW. Not in 2014... NOW. There's been over a decade of war/occupation in Afghanistan. Bin Laden is dead. WTF are they still doing there? Do people honestly believe that a few Taliban with RPGs and AKs, on the other side of the planet, are a threat to the U.S. and/or the world? Jesus, Americans are f*cking stupid. No wonder the world is laughing at us, while our government collapses the economy as a result of insurmountable debt, trying to police the world.

Oh, and f*ck Ted Turner.

I'd love for the military to be brought home. I am tired of meddling in the affairs of countries for decades on end. Let them, or someone else fix their problems.

I also agree that we don't need as many "boots on the ground" as we have. Let the assholes figure it out for themselves and if they start more "terror camps", bomb them into little bits.

The point is, what Ted Turner said is bordering on treason, saying it's "good" for our service men to commit suicide. Can you imagine the pain felt by the parents of a soldier that commited suicide after hearing that???? There are a few people that I actually hate in this world and he made the list.

To even imply that soldiers are committing suicide so they don't have to kill is insane. Cops have high suicide rates too. These are tough and but honorable men and women. Who sacrifice more than we understand.
