So the phone rang today at work and I was sitting when it rang. Everyone else was busy and of course my foot had fallen asleep. But I had to get the phone so I got up. And ended up doing a face dive into the floor. Feel like such an ass. Everyone laughed though, and I did too but my pride is hurt, man.

You could pray that someone filmed it on their smart phone, you can then enter it the Funniest Home Videos contest and maybe make it all worth it. Then again, you may just want to forget it.

About 6 months after my back surgery, we moved to New Orleans. I lived about 8 blocks from my office and walked every day, including the rainy ones. The first rainy day I walked to the office I stepped inside the door. My wet hard sole shoes hit that waxed floor and shot straight up toward the ceiling. I laid on the floor making little grunting noises for what seemed like an hour. The only help in the building was the 80 something secretary for the other group we were sharing space with. No way she was helping me up. Just grunted and whimpered until I got my strength back to get up. No more hard soles for me. You are not alone my friend.
