Default watercress/free radicals

I know...sounds so hippy, right?!

But, anyway, I saw a programme a day or so ago which showed that a bowl (just a decent amount) of watercress a couple of hours prior to exercise showed almost no DNA breakdown after exercise whereas those that didn't have watercress showed significant alteration in the DNA cells, due to the free radicals, upon completion of exercise.

Watercress is very high in antioxidants, apparently.

It's info worth considering, especially if you're intending a very heavy gym session; I guess.

Did not know that. It's no white and low cal I always assumed it was a nutritionally weak choice.
