Default Squats (hamstrings/glutes)

I read an interesting article the other day which indicated (with proof in images) that squats done with Oly shoes or a shoe with a heel hit the hamstrings whereas squats done with barefeet or flat-soled footwear target the glutes.

Not only did the article show that it targets those areas but that it specifically appears to give major impact to the set area indicated relating to the differing shoe/barefoot lift.

People doing barefoot squats had little to no hamstring develpoment and those doing heeled shoe squats had little to negligible glute development.

Discuss...

Flat footed squats kill my hammies. I have pretty substantial hamstring development from squats alone.

I think there are other factors at play...natural weaknesses, stance, body type, etc.

I am certainly no anatomy expert though.
