Did you know anyone that was involved in 9/11?

Did you know anyone that was involved in 9/11? Either a fire fighter that helped save lives or someone that was on the plane or in the building? Today I am thinking of all of them. I did not know anyone personally that was in it but my heart still feels for these people.

My sister was involved in DC, in a strange way. She was a volunteer for the Arlington PD. When she tried to get home that day, she was working in Bethesda at the time, she was stopped by the Pentagon, which is in Arlington. She recognized one of the officers and asked what she could do. Before she knew it she was on traffic duty around the Pentagon. She joined the Arlington PD a few months later. Oddly, she was working for the Discovery/Travel Channels at that time as a producer. She had been in the Restaurant at the top of the towers just a day or two before filming a spot for the Travel Channel. The chef they interviewed was one of the victims.

Don't know anyone personally, but I do know that many local firefighters and cops hit the roads and airports, travelling so they could help in any way possible.

NO I have not known anyone personally who was effected by this. It was a very tragic day for those people. It will be a day that was never forgotten.

Screen name means firefighter/emt New York and I live on Long Island so I've met a few people who were there on that day and quite a few who went into city to help after. Had a preceptor in medic school who was there but I'm not one to ask people for their war stories unless they want to give them. Also was in the Army Guard in a aviation unit, they were mobilized to the city for security in and around ground zero, also friend of mine was crewing the first helicopter to fly over ground zero.

I did not but my coworker had a friend who worked at the trade center. She was there that day and sadly did not make it.

No I did not know anyone. However I do feel for the people that lost loved ones each year. It is still so hard to believe that someone could be that heartless and do this.
