Each morning I have to ask myself...do I sell my soul to sell supplements, e-books, and various other nonsense?
I could easily spend all my time pimping a supplement's hype...because I DO make money off supplement sales from MAB, albeit indirectly. But I don't. I could easily spend all my time pimping an e-book's claims, because I AM set up to make money from e-book programs. But I don't. I am not saying that I've walk in CT's shows, because I haven't. This thread really isn't about him anyone. It's more about the industry...the one that we love, and how it is run. Each morning each of us has to ask ourselves...which side am I on. But when the money starts getting passed around, a man's true identity is revealed. I cannot say I'm not envious. I am. My family could use the money. But call me old school...I believe integrity is all we have. I make mistakes, like any other creature that shits. But if I allowed myself to pimp supplement hype I would be a predator.

Hi Steve,
I'm a new member on this forum. This is really a good site with plenty of information for weightlifters. Good work! I was reading T-nation for about 4 years. Applied lot of their stuff, sometimes with results, and mostly with overtraining after some weeks. I'm wondering if this I,Bodybuilder thing will ever come out. There is quite some time between their advertising and the release date of it. CT replied on his forum that "it will be ready when it will be ready"..... |

![]() First I would like to say that I have read many, many T-Nation articles, and I enjoy "most" of the site. I just want anyone reading this to understand that my beef with T-nation over this program isn't personal. Regarding CT....I hope he escapes this I, bodybuilder program with some integrity. I've lost quite a bit of respect for him. I am currently reading Strongman (Doug Hepburn's biography), and it really hammered home for me just how strong Doug was with overhead pressing. Doug was so far ahead of his competition that the Eastern Canadians wouldn't accept his records. So then, we come back to CT who is now stating he can out press Doug Hepburn? And don't get me started on this "adding 27 pounds of muscle as an advanced lifter." That is just a blatant lie, and an attempt to over-hype I, Bodybuilder. No advanced lifter gains that much unless the gains are returning via muscle memory. Sorry to hear that you overtrained. Simple programs don't really drive supplement sales very well. Anyway, glad to have you on board. We have a good, closeknit group of lifters here with a lot of practical knowledge. You won't get hype, but you will get respect.

That's true Steve, they got some good articles on their site. I've found their site on the internet after some years of reading the M&F or Flex. Quickly realizing these magazines just promote supplements. So I've went after a book called "Beyond Brawn" from Stuart McRobert. After reading 500 pages of pure text (belive me, no pictures in the book) I've start applying his stuff. And it worked big time for me.
When I browse through the articles on this site, lot of it has much in common with Stuart his writings. Right now MAB is a site I check daily. Grtz |

![]() I'm glad to hear his system is working. I know that it has worked for many, many people. And it's always good to find a way to make gains. You should also check out the John Christy thread...he advocates only 2 training sessions per week, and is a very refreshing read. http://muscleandbrawn.com/forums/pow...on-thread.html

I picked an earlier 2nd edition of this book a couple weeks ago. I too, like basic barbell training as talked about in the book. There is a lot of very good info on the site here. Be sure to read all of Casey Butts stuff as well as the John Christy article that MAB, linked. Look forward to talking with you more. |
