I'm all about solo sports/hobbies; like rodeo, off-roading, and lifting weights.
I always hated team sports because they are hard to break into if you get started late. Try going out for football or baseball in high school when you have no experience. There are always a few understanding individuals who will give you a chance to develop, but the majority just want you gone or "not on our team." |

Solo, I prefer to rely on myself and have nobody else to blame that way. I once had a couples badminton match and was picking up all the other guys shots as well anyway, so he was redundant or just not bothering to shift to the areas he was supposed to be covering...solo is way better.

I was useless at all the regular UK team sports: football (read soccer), cricket, basketball. I've tried table tennis, softball/baseball, badminton and I suck at those too. Too much emphasis on aiming and hitting or kicking things.
The only pastime I was ever any good at apart from weights was skiing. So, by default, it's individual sports for me. Or actually, no sports.

Solo. I like watching team sports, but I was never any good at them. Always excelled at track and field though.

I play Rugby(team sport) and yet I am forced to go solo much of the time. Making 6 tackles in a row. Carrying the ball down field. So I guess I like both.

Something to be said about both.
Nothing like going to a huddle with a bunch of people you have bleed with and they follow your lead. Great feeling to have them look you in the face and know you will get your job done! I also like the aspect of powerlifting where its just me, and I cant fault anyone but me. Both have the same feeling of pulling down deep and making it happen.

I guess I would enjoy playing any sport that I understand and can think through, whether thats a team sport or an individual sport.
Only played a couple of team sports seriously - cricket and soccer. Was pretty good at cricket and would play it whenever I get a chance. I was decent at soccer, so would play that too. Used to play (American) football after I came to States as wide receiver / free safety and enjoyed that too. Enjoy lifting weights and used to enjoy biking and badminton too. So, pretty much anything I enjoy is fair game for me. |
