If you want more definition, achieve it by addition, not subtraction. Adding muscle can lower your bodyfat percentage, and make you look more defined.

Muscle addition also makes you look better at the same bodyfat levels.

If you weigh 170 pounds at 20% bodyfat and gain 16 pounds of muscle and 4 pounds of fat, your bodyfat percentage will remain the same, but you will look fit, healthy, strong and (bam) more attractive.
