At this age, these kids know what is right and what is wrong period! They will do what ever they think they can get away with.

I ask this, what would have happened in the 1950"s to these punks?

Shame them and their family's, good old shunning. Throw pictures of the kids and their family on the front page of the local paper.

They should be expelled from school for a year, to bring to the attention of parents to start parenting! And as for the threats of violence, jail.

Aye good point. I'm not condoning the behaviour whatsoever, we all have difficult situations we face in life. But it isn't up to us to decide what happens to us, only to decide what we do with our experiences. We have the choice to take the potentially harder road and stop that cycle of hurt by refusing to take part in it, or we can take the easier choice and become a part of the problem instead.

Kids like that have taken the easy way out.

I must be getting old or something but kids growing up today seem to be terrible little scrotes. I see it everywhere: Hanging in gangs of 4,5 or more and acting the hard man. Maybe it was just as bad decades ago but I'm not so sure.

Good points made in the thread thus far regarding kids acting out like this having trouble at home. I personally know a few scrotes from my hometown who go around attacking people and looking for trouble and to a man they all have broken homes/alcoholic abusive parents etc.

I'm only 30 but I honestly feel that I am from a completely different generation from kids of 17-18. Again, 12-13 years ago, my hometown's worst issues were eggings of houses and the occasional drunken fight outside a bar.
Now, we have arson, knife attacks and random attacks. Well we do when anyone actually comes to the place. It's a bloody ghost town these days

I'm starting to sound like my mother. Next I'll be moaning about walking to school 10 miles every day in the snow.

I read in a newspaper a few years ago a lad got into a fight at a local nightclub, came away with his nose bitten off.

A little scrap as a teen and someone bites off his ****ing nose.... his nose, right off. What the hell is going on.

I disagree. I think it's always been this bad, we just hear about it more often and much faster these days.
