first one was a higher end king that cost about $2400. dont recall the brand, but it start sagging and was eligible for a replacement, so we got something in the same price range. this one is very uncomfortable, although not sure if its sagging or not. i dont remember it being bad when we got it 3 years ago. i am only around 220lbs, wife is 130. I am curious to know what some of you behemoths use. i am thinking tempurpedic for the next bed. thoughts? |

I used to sell beds at Ikea. Really alot depends on how you sleep. Memory foam is always good. I like a firm matress otherwise my back hurts. My gf needs latex because she is a hot sleeper.

I actually prefer the floor which I find much more comfortable; throw a duvet under and around me and I'm happier than on any mattress we've ever had.
Aside from that, one guy did inform us that the best mattresses will always be the ones with the stitched top sheet.

I have a King size Sterns and Foster, Euro Plush Top in Firm. Think it was about $2200, still paying it off with zero interest. I have until next March to pay off before interest hits acrued.
I felt comfort the very first night, no back pain at all. I do sleep alone, and I try to vary where in the bed I crash. Middle, left, right alternating if I can remember. I usually wake up in the middle though. If I were to buy now, I would get the newer iComfort system from Serta. It's a mix of springs for base stability, memory foam for plush comfort, and gel beads to control temperature. My Sister has a Sleepnumber and echoes Ryanos statement, expensive but worth it...

I have some Serta pillowtop cost around 2g and it sucks ass. It has sagged and is not nearly firm enough for me. My girlfriend loves it though. Guess I have 2 options break up with her or get one of those variable comfort beds.
