Blue 71 Camaro. Crappy 307 auto, but it had the floor "H" factory auto shifter console. I raised and sold cattle to buy it when I was 14. By time I had got my licenses at 15, I had it fully restored and small mods done to it.
Looked exactly like this. Till I got my mods done.

93 Chevy Silverado 2500 4x4. 8 foot bed. Beast of a truck, almost identical to what I have now, only the new one is 10 years younger.

Wow. I can never get over the fact you can drive at 15 in the US (or used to be allowed to).

I had a Mazda 626, bought for £550. Great, indestructible car.

I got my first car at 30 years old: a Mini with the floor rusted through, cost £200.

15 1/2, sorry, it is when we can get our learners permit with classes. You get a farm permit (we can get even younger at 12) and opens you up to a learners permit right off the bat at 15 1/2. I had a farm permit. ( its were you can drive a farm truck on the roads between farms and fields )

Unless things have changed. Its been 30+ years since I had to worry about it. lol

Here is my first car, a 1985 Nissan King Cab. Bought it for 200 bucks and it ran like a champ. I was very upset when I had to get rid of it. The engine still ran great, the body was beat. We had a lot of good times in this truck, I will never forget it.

4 cylinder, manual transmission, 4x4. What more can a kid ask for.
