How are you spending your Memorial day? I am going to an afternoon BBQ with some family and friends. We will have a big bonfire tonight and the children will do sparklers and then do campfire treats. Looking forward to it very much as a time to relax and remember why we are free.

I went to our local Memorial Day flag ceremony, then I just completed a good workout with my son, and now I'm heading to an Eagle Scout court of honor for one of the boys in our troop, and finally ending the day with a big BBQ at family's house. Great day!

BBQ Chops, that is all...

All that is missing is the apple pie!

I took the family out for a nice meal.

So far, had coffee with my favorite 92 year old WWII Vet, responded to a medical (man down in the bathroom, bleeding from the head), a vehicle lockout, and two physical domestics.

4 hours to go!

Other than that did my 2 w/o's.

Placed a flag on my fathers grave (Robert E. Ryan BMC USN-retired). Watching "Band of Brothers" series.

Building a sliding pad for the kids to work on their skating technique. It will probably be the only sliding pad in the world with pink end boards. I let the nine year old decide what color to paint them from the paint we had on hand. I'm not about to buy new paint for this project.
