Good good. On track. Just remember to lead with the head. Looking improved.

Everything was great ... after you did the first rep. Your initial pull was done with a very rounded back, that may well cause you issues later on.

+1

I find that when I think about lifting the bar up it makes it tough to keep my back arched, however when I think about leaning back into my heals as I pull it makes it much easier to keep my chest more upright and back arched, or at least flat.

You're going to have to exagerate it for a while with some lighter sets to ingrain the positions.

I agree with the others - first rep needs some work, but after that the reps look good. I reckon you are not quite setting up properly. make sure to get that head and chest up, and get tight, before the first rep. Think of the lift as a pushing movement as opposed to a pull, as you push thru the heels and just stand up, leading with the head as Steve said.

It's just a matter of time and some practice buddy. I would suggest doing singles for awhile until you get it down pat and it comes naturally to you without even thinking about it.

Hey guys!!

I am not a great bencher, so here is a video of be doing one of my 100kg singles (around 90% of my max). The setup didnt record though, I wanted that in the video, but next time.

Two things I notice:

1. Watch your wrist angle. You're tucking your elbows nicely but make sure the bar stays in line with your forearm. Some of what I saw may be camera angle I think.
2. Thing about your leg drive as a spring. You coil up on the way down, staying tight and then when you start the positive press, you try to push your heels into the floor and uncoil.

Overall looking very nice.

Damn Spart, if that t-shirt was any tighter it'd cut off your circulation!

Good Bench rep, you've got on hell of a long bench stroke but that should get better as you fill out.

Thanks! Yeah I noticed that too, and leg drive for me has always been an issue. What do you mean by coil up? I get what you mean by pushing heels when I press.

Next Monday I will get a side on view and have a better look at wrists.

Hahaha it was one of my old tshirts from when I started lifting, I just never got new ones hahah.

Thanks! Maybe I should grip the bar wider? Even that width feels a bit wide, but I could learn to go wider.
