JB,

i recently got a titan Ram and am wondering what is the best way to introduce this into my bench work?

Is there a specific set up for reps / set I should use

Thanks

Wow, thanks for actually answering my noob question. That video made it good and clear.

It's just so easy to be confused by all the BS on the internet, sometimes. Guys like you and BtB help to cut through that. Major props.

Might have to check out "Big" when I'm back to lifting again, too (that should be soon).

Regarding the BIG program, in week one, would you offer some guidance as to weights to use on auxiliaries.

On the Narrow stance squats, should I be using the working weight or decrease? Same for Close-grip bench and Kaz presses.

As for rack pulls, just as an estimate, should I be shooting for about 70% of my deadlift max, or just roll with a weight I feel good getting 8 reps on?

Thank you in advance.

Sure happy to give you some guidance. Dont write these #s in stone as of course you could be fatigued more than I can predict when you get there.

Narrow stance will vary a ton depending on how you normally squat. I would guess you could count on a 10% decreased from your normal max. I would think about the same for close grip (some notice little difference). Kaz press I suggest using a curl bar. I start with the 25s on each side and add weight each set. It will not take a lot of weight to make these work.

As far as deadlifts from the pins go. Normally you will see people pull about 20-35% more on a high pin than from the floor. On the bottom pin normally a similar # to their max. I personally SUCK off the bottom pin and I am less than my actual max. Hopefully that answers some of your questions.

Thank you, JB. That is what I was expecting to hear, I just wanted to hear it straight from the horse's mouth to get the most out of the program. I'll probably have weekly questions as I am unfamiliar with a lot of auxiliary stuff, so get ready!
