Gee, think it has anything to do with the super massive black hole at the center of the Galaxy? You have to wonder if any inhabited planets closer to the center of the Galaxy are able to use this energy. Imagine how much solor type energy could be absorbed and used.
Of is this area totally uninhabitable due to gamma radiation?
