I can usually find a good sized brisket on sale. Trim off most of the fat, and braise in a nice aromatic seasoned broth for 5 hours. Serve with your choice of carbs.

I can usually feed my family three times off a brisket. I spend about 12-15 dollars per piece of meat. The huge mongo sized cuts can be cut into smaller portions and frozen. Thats a lot of meat for a good price.

I also like to buy some good bones to cook with it. Nothing beats some nice marrow, to thicken up a gravy. MMMM bone marrow.
