Quad Tendinitis
For the last several months I have been having some odd deep quad soreness about 3-4 inches above the knee. I imagine this soreness is tendon related. I feel it primarily in my right knee, but to a certain degree in my left as well.
It is most noticeable when I walk up stairs. There is a small amount of pain, and some weakness.
It doesn't sound like this is patella tendinitis. I have been searching the web to find out what it might be, but no luck so far.
I have tried box squatting only the last 3 months to see if it clears up, and quite possibly was related to squat form, but the pain remains. It isn't unbearable, but moreso annoying when I squat. But, I fear that it may continue to get worse.
Any recommendations or thoughts? I may have to foresake heavy squats for a while. I also am going to try and add more heavier hamstring work to see if it helps. Lunges are out of the question.
