Nice volume for deads if you ask me!

You will get used to the belt. I don't think modifying it will make much difference.

Also, a belt can be "too" tight. Check the .pdf below from McGill...
You want the belt to brace your normal core position, not crush it.
See if you can let out a notch and still get good counter pressure from the belt while abdominal bracing.
