The term 'assault' is a misnomer. It actually refers to military grade. IOW, fully-automatic. The AR-15 and AK-47 "look like" military assault rifles; however there is a huge difference between fully-auto and semi.
If, by some unlucky stream of liberal events (popularized by the Obama-camp media), then magazines >10 would be outlawed. So far, this has done nothing but help the economy and sales of guns, mags, and ammo.
If mags >10 were outlawed, then the Connecticut shooting would have had no difference. If all guns would've been outlawed, there would have been no difference. That same day, in fact, another mass murder spree went on in china. The weapon he used was a knife. See, the problem isn't the weapon, it's the sicko who had access to the weapon. InCT, it was his mother.
Taking away the rights of law-abiding citizens because of a few people that abuse them is not the answer.
