He was doing negatives, I think he called it, going down real slow kinda holding it then pressing. Then loaded up the weights for me telling me to do them with different foot positions - wide and narrow. Which, to me has no purpose because I'm not trying to isolate different muscles in my thighs...
It was kinda funny though because just as I was coming in to squat he was doing half rep squats then as soon as I'm done squating and going to the leg press he jumps in with me.
Thankfully my legs arent as sore as I thought they would be. Now I see why "heavy" assistant work isnt needed!
