I hear ya Alan. I took a risk at the Vegas meet and didn't even completely realize it at the time. I thought it was odd we had to squat on carpeting. The monolifts in the ramp up area were placed on hard surfaces, but the stage ones were not. Any way, I strained my right quad on my first lift and was puzzled as I had never hurt it before. I did feel somewhat unstable on the carpet of course, but didn't think mkuch of it otherwise. Anyway, 2 weeks later while I was training with the crew, I was talking to Brian about it and he said there were tons of injury's caused by lifters being unable to stabilize properly - especially the equipped guys and many refused to lift on it at all. He said I was somewhat fortunate to get out of there with my 405 squat. I think my Nike Romaleo's may have just saved my bacon.

At any rate, I really hope you heal up soon. keep your head up mate!
