Ya Metric, not by choice, but all the plates in the prison gym are international except 2-45's someone bought and brought in.

A little bird told me I am getting a home gym setup for Christmas (surprising since, according to my 6 yr old granddaughter, I have NOT been very nice lately) but they will be good old, what I'm used to anyway, American pounds.

As far as the routine, I don't know, some days I am whipped out after, other days I have half a tank left. Maybe I am wired to use heavier weights? Maybe I just have to get used to using lighter weights, more volume....I don't know. I'll figure it out eventually.
