In any gym, equipment and its maintenance are the smallest expense overall. Free weights are the smallest part of that small part.

That wouldn't actually surprise me since I couldn't for the life of me fathom why I'd been shown a dumbbell snatch shortly after being informed no "throwing" lifts, whilst standing wondering how they classified a hang clean.
I've also mentioned, on here I think, about the rack area flooring which is a soft rubber and tends to sink slightly underfoot, certainly not something I feel overly safe on and find it much easier to do an overhead press at home than on their specialised flooring; in a way, I'm pleased I can workout at home, Oly lifts and all
