What you refer to here, is there goal is full depletion then when they carb up there body swells and holds 4x the normal carbs it would. Providing them with 4X the normal fuel and energy.
Just like a depletion, refill timing some competitive bbers go threw.
First day after full depletion your body holds 4X normal carbs then the next 2 days it still soaks up extra, but less day 2 and less day 3 then day 4 it only sucks up the normal levels.
Our bodies also have a way of prioritizing: burning carbohydrates first, then fats and finally proteins.
