1st 5/3/1 workout. I enjoyed it. Very fun. Different. Wendler breaks the rules when it comes to rep ranges and exercise volume, and initially I like it.
He called for 5 sets on assistance exercises, I only had 4 in me. There is no way in hell I was going to put any less than 115 on the incline press and even that was pushing it. I was surprised by how much the high rep range work fatigued me.
Another observation I noticed about the high rep range work was how much I felt it in my arms. More specifically I really felt the incline in my tris and the lat pulldown in my bis.
Anyway, on ward and upward.
