It really wasn't bad. I went in to this with the mindset of getting my 5, but knowing I need 9 in order to push the theoretical 1RM. Before I knew it, I was at 7 reps. 7 Dead-lift reps, no bouncing. Up. Down. Relax the grip. Reset the grip. Big breath (or two). Pull.
The way this current format is shaping up, my Big Three lifts will have a singles week, a rep week, another, slightly heavier singles week, and a deload. Looks like a fairly liveable situation, only chasing rep records once per cycle.
