Poor old Bill:
Quote:
We’ve been here for a few days and nights now where Bill is recovering from emergency surgery to repair what the doctors call “bilateral quadriceps tendon ruptures.” This means Bill's thigh muscles tore apart from the tendons which attached to the bones below the knees. Athletes sometimes suffer this injury on one leg or the other but both Bill’s legs were hit at the same time which left him with essentially no use of his legs for 8 to 12 weeks and limited use for up 6 months.
Quote:
He says he was coming down the stairs and his knees buckled and he lost his balance. When he landed he landed with his legs up underneath him. As his quads tightened and tried to respond the amount of weight and stress on the tendon caused them to snap.
