Hubby went cold turkey which failed the first 3 times and then he got angry about smoking and quit, it worked. The reason for the anger was that he'd intended going to a function and decided to quit that day then we both realised there would be smokers there which would make things really difficult especially through the initial hours of non-smoking; but, he'd decided to quit that day and did.
A reason is a must and it has to be centred around you and nobody else.
