For me (and may I say for you as well) I suspect it's the constant hammering, rather than lack of specific upper back work. Unless the lack of upper back work extends to many, many months it won't cause issues. I suspect it's the first time for both of us that we have done so much concentrated pulling work, and that is what is both weakening us temporarily and what will strengthen us in the long run.
