I have trained the last 4-5 months with what I believe to be a minor fracture in my collarbone. For the first 3 months I couldn't sleep on my right side.
If 2008 I trained with a torn right shoulder, slowly bringing my bench back up each week as it healed.
I trained about 10 years with horrendous elbow tendinitis.
During my recent powerlifting meet, I threw out my lower back stretching after my first deadlift attempt. I could hardly stand up straight. I told myself to nut up and lift as if my life depended on it.
