Haha, that's why I mentioned differing goals. Where I'm going, 1rm's don't mean squat. I've probably lost 20lb.+ on my bench max (which wasn't that great in the first place, 285 @ 210 bodyweight), while taking my non-stop pushups from 35-50, so using reps for progression instead of weight is perfect for me.

Obviously, this is the polar opposite of power lifting.
