I think I would keep her to machines so she minimizes down time and doesn't have to bend and fart around with free weights. Maybe a fullbody type circuit.

Nice! you echo my thoughts exactly. I had it as supersets thru the whole routine. something like this
leg ext
leg curl
push
pull
crunch
2 sets of each? 3 sets?
followed by 20 mins bike or swim
