The actual thickness and length make it so you cant press it as easily as a normal heavy DB.
I use these every couple weeks as a way to help hit those stabilizer muscles real hard. I love 1 arm presses in the 100-140 pound range. I think it also helps that connection between legs and arms in the push press.
