I agree.
I would also add that I am not a big fan of failure with heavy weight. In addition to this, heavy weight generally calls for some form of periodization.
Gordon LaVelle recommends a form of Blood & Guts periodization in his book "Training For Mass". It's basically a 3 week mini-cycle and nothing too elaborate.
