A monolift is going to set you back a pretty penny, but if you look at Home they've got a monolift attachment which bolts to their power rack for about half to a third the cost of a real monolift. Expect to pay $200-300 and up for GOOD bars, but also don't go cheap on your bars. Weight plates you can find for $.80 a pound if you buy in bulk, or you can find a lot of olympic plates for cheap on craigslist.
