I thought so too. Ive been convinced about the mental aspect of this for a long time, and that one CAN adapt to almost any kind of workload if one gets over the mental aspect of it.
Ive tried it too, squatting to daily MAX 5-6 days a week for 3 weeks (and acutally kept setting PR's) and I would still be doing it if it wasent affecting my mood and overall energy level so much I had a hard time at work

I aborted after 21 days because of that.
