I think overuse will affect bottom end strength yes but with a good rotation I could see this working well.

Hmmm just doesn't happen in my experience. I don't see why you wouldn't just do partials or walkouts or band/chain work.

I can't do partials in my rack. I don't have to use briefs. But I have been debating if the overload will help.

I don't like it!

You can still do chain work, walkouts after your regular work. I think what you would gain from using briefs would be more than offset by what you would lose.

I prefer the lack of stability from chains, especially of they are all off the floor at the top.

If you got bands then sure crack on, I just thought you only had chains.

If it's just to get used to the overload, then either would do. Or just plain walkouts.
