Nice bench work. It's almost like the Matt Ogus approach where he did 3/2/1. He also did like a 3x5 3x3 3x1 approach, where instead of going all out on the money set, he just did 3 sets of whatever week it was.

Awesome work, strong bench.

Default 5/25/13 Deads

This was a less than stellar session.
Waking up this morning my lower back was fatigued, a bit sore and just feeling funky. I was preparing for my son's birthday party yesterday (that we had today) and moving things around and cleaning things up. I was moving some heavy stuff around and think I may have worn my back out.

Deads
Worked up to 315x3.

RDL
135x16x3

Squats
No thank you

Shrugs
145x10,195x10,205x10

Overall Workout Grade: C

Notes:
Like I already said, my back wasn't feeling to hot. The deads just felt hard as fuark. I had every intention of pulling more weight for a triple, but after the 315 set, it just didn't seem worth the risk.

I set up the rack to squat after the rdls, did my warm up set with the bar, and decided to just pass on squats this time. It was just one of those sessions that I just never got into a real groove due to the back funk.

Even the shrugs felt like shit.

I'm not tripping on this poor workout too badly. It is what it is. I went into it with the plan of not pulling max effort. On top of that the back isn't injured, just a bit sore and fatigued. I'm taking next week off and I'll be battle ready next time I pull.

Default 5/26/13 Happy Bro Day Bro

This is my last session before my week off. I decided to do something I haven't done in about a year and just going into the gym and do random stuff. I focused on things a gym bro might do. It was fun and I need to do this more often.

Bench (last set supersetted with DB flies)
135x5, 185x5, 225x12/20x15

Seated mini band rows
20x3

Db Front raise/lateral raise superset
20x10/15x10, 25x10/20x10, 30x10/20x8

DB spider curls
20x10,25x10,30x8

DB curl drop set (one big ass long set)
45x7,40x3,30x5,15x12

2 hand tricep bar seated overhead extension (last set supersetted with band tricep pushdowns)
90x12,12,10/10

Overall Workout Grade: Fun

Notes:
Got my pump on boys and girls. Supersets bro, supersets. Had a lot of fun. I am going to do this more often in the coming months. It's fun just to chase the pump and do way to many curl sets.
I didn't capture it, but throughout the session I did band crossovers.
