I'm behind on my log. I have about 3 workouts in the can that I need to get posted up. I haven't been to doing videos.

notes:
Squats felt good. I am no longer doing 5/3/1 for them. I backed off of my 2 rm a bit and am going to work back up. I was able to hit 4 reps at 295, I was pretty happy with that.

Notes:
Really strong session.
Starting with bench press, I hit 290 for a set of 5, which is 2 reps over my goal. The last rep was a slow dog grinder. However, there was no hitch and it was smooth, despite the slow crawl rep speed. I'm glad I went for it.
Finished up my bench with a set of "first set last", to add just a bit more of dat der volume. Yeah BBBBBOOOOOOYYYYY!

The benching really destroy my triceps, so my CGBP wasn't quite as strong as last week.

DB Row felt strong. Working on getting these bad boys strong(er). That's the name of the game for those. BtB recommends getting them strong as faurk to help with deads, so, that's what I shall attempt to do.

Finished up with some ancillary work, felt freaking good. I was very pleased with this session. Heck to the yeah!

Default 7/7/13 Power Clean and Sumo Deads

Did this workout a bit later than usual. Slept in to late to hit it in the AM. So I had breakfast before church, went to church, and then got home and hit this session around 12:00 PM.

Power Clean
125x3
145x3
160x3

Sumo Deadlifts
230x4(no versa grips or belt)
280x4(added VG, no belt)
325x3 (VG and belt)

Jump Squat
125x3x6 1 minute rest time between sets.

Overall Workout Grade:B

Notes:
Sometimes the highs are highs and the lows are lows.
The Power cleans went very well. 160x3 flew(and I mean flew) up with ease. It was smooth and easy. Felt light even. I am very satisfied with todays cleans.

Sumos, all was going well. I felt strong. I am loving this lift, until the 4th rep of my last set. On the 4th rep I had the bar about half way to lockout, all was smooth, it was heavy but not maximal and....... I felt a sharp pain in my lower back. You know, the bad kind of pain. I played it smart and immediately set the rep down. I am very disappointed. I wasn't pushing it too hard and everything felt right (if not perfect). And I didn't take to big of a jump from last week.

I have chronic back problems. That's all there is to it. It's effected my lifting for almost 2 years now. My deads and squats have regressed. I wake up in discomfort 6 days a week. I need to quit lying to myself and seek medical assistance. I will be making an appointment first thing tomorrow. My goal is to correct whatever is going on and start moving forward again.

***edit***
Here a few hours after the deads, my lower back is pretty f'ed right now. Much beyond just the usually back pump or stiffness.
